Parent Tips
Packing Tips
- Drink 3 bottles of water 3 days prior to departure
- Will help prevent DVT and Jet lag
- If you are taking medication, have original packaging
- DATW luggage tag on checked in bag
- Your name on the DATW backpack (*everyone has an identical backpack)
- Flight Ticket
- Travel Insurance
- All liquids/gels/powder need to be 100ml or less in clear containers
- Passport
- ESTA (printed)
- Lanyard
- Batteries
- Laptop/phone/iPad etc
- Charge cables (power bank if you have one)
- Medication if it's needed on the plane
- Chewy sweets to help ears with take-off and landing
- Face Mask
- Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitiser
- Slippers for plane (for walking to and from bathroom or just exercising
- Fully charged devices (cables to charge)
- Downloaded movies/books etc
- Compression Socks
- Fess Nasal spray
- Hydralite tablets
- AirTags (can share with family/friends so they can track you)
- You don't need the Drs letter for medications if they're in a packet/ prescription label.
- I only drink Hydralite on the plane because the water you drink will never replenish the liquid lost by flying and you need electrolytes. Buy the tablets and put them in the water once on board.
- Take a saline nasal spray for ears (spray in nose not ears) - lollies don't do anything.
- Sometimes your sinuses are blocked and you don't even know about it, use "FESS" nasal spray 20 minutes before landing. The only other things that work are Vicks Vapordrops.
- If you're an allergy sufferer but have no flu symptoms you'll feel it on landing. Fess clears your ears from the inside and out and helps to unblock. It's like a saline that washes out your nasal passage.
- Water bottles aren't necessary. They give them to you on the plane and the amount of water bottles I find on every flight - we throw them away and kids will lose them.
- Take your travel insurance details, phone numbers etc.
- Once packed, go back through and cull stuff. Chances are you won't even use half the stuff you pack and you have to carry the weight.
- If you are planning on shopping, pack a suitcase and put it inside another suitcase to bring home.
Thanks Leanne

For the foodies in the group, DCA's Food and Wine Festival will be on while we are in Disneyland!!!
The link below is from a VLOG that we follow who have put together the full menu that will be available...
FYI there are 11 or so additional booths that provide these extra food and drink options. The festival ends on our last day (22nd April) so it's a perfect time to try some different options that aren't normally available...

Cheap Healthy Eats Disneyland Area. Thanks Janelle
5 minute walk from Disneyland (see stars on the map) you will find Walgreen and CVS. Both offer pre-made meals and snacks that are affordable. You will find a large variety of sandwiches and rolls, fruit, yogurt, salads and savoury snacks (cheese and Veg etc.)
At both Walgreens and CVS there is food, alcohol, drinks, washing powder etc., chemists products and cheap Disney merch.
Yes you can take food into the parks, just no glass or alcohol.

BigW is selling Disney merchandise! Thanks Toumanda!
Disney Gift Cards. Thanks Chantelle!
You can purchase Disney E-gift cards from the Disney US Store online (US Dollars) and use these all over the park at Restaurants and Shops. A good way to not deal with cash or set limits for the days at the parks. I’ll be buying these over the year for birthdays and Christmas so kids can have some spending money at the parks.
Great way to save. Thanks Janelle
Georgia’s shopping fund started this morning
