DANCE EXPLOSION OCTOBER!!
At DDC we run an eisteddfod that not only gives our students a chance to work in a professional environment to learn the behind the scenes of creating and running a competition but it also gives them a chance to enhance their stage experience and performance levels for report only, getting critiques from new adjudicators. We are so proud of all our girls that took the stage this week and worked so hard to help out themselves and their friends fundraise for the America Disneyland tour in April 2024. Georgia, Amelie, Jaylee, Mia, Londyn, Sophie, Amy Jaida, Tegan, Jazmine, Ella, Emma, Hope, Isla, Anastasia |
Let's Play! (30th Sept)
At DDC our end of year concerts involve a storyline that gives our students a chance to learn how to act alongside dancing.
It also gives them a chance to shine as main characters or gain more stage experience as smaller characters. This year our end of year concert 'Let's Play' explores three girls who receive magical dice that transports them to a world of mystery and challenges. |

Miss Amelie cuts her hair for Variety - the Children's Charity (8th April)
|
From Miss Amelie...
After less than 4 weeks of fundraising I cut my hair for Variety - the Children’s Charity NSW & ACT. I ended up cutting 45cm off and raised over $2200. I am so grateful and appreciative of every single person who was involved in this process. Thank you so much to all the people who were there to watch and support me yesterday, I was shocked to see how many people came, to my Mum for having to deal with me not wanting to cut it off at the last minute (and now I'm nonstop talking about how much I love the new length), to Deborah Castle for being able to jump in last minute to cut my hair, all my friends who jumped in to braid my hair yesterday, to the amazing photographer David Johnson Photography Garage who took so many photos, to the wonderful sausage sizzle/canteen ladies, and to the over 60 people who not only helped me reach my goal but double it. I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing people, thank you all |
